Craftsmanship & Maker Notes
Stamped 「特製」 (Tokusei) — meaning “specially made” — this knife comes from the historic Mino / Seki region of Japan, an area long associated with hardworking carbon steel blades built for daily use.
This nakiri profile is optimized for vegetable prep, offering excellent board contact, knuckle clearance, and clean push cuts. The blade features a traditional kurouchi finish, left intentionally rustic to protect the steel and highlight its forged character.
The carbon steel core takes a very keen edge and will develop a natural patina over time, making this a rewarding knife for cooks who enjoy traditional materials and performance. Lightweight for its size, yet confidence-inspiring on the board, this is a serious prep knife without unnecessary flash
